About us

We're Citizens Advice in North Oxon & South Northants, one of the 208 local, independent charities who make up the national Citizens Advice network.

We provide quality assured advice for the problems people face. Anyone can use our service, for any problem.

Our service is always free, impartial and confidential. With the recession beginning to affect nearly everybody, demand for our services will increase. We help with a range of problems including issues with housing, debt, benefits, employment, relationships and consumer rights. We research social issues and campaign on the issues that affect people’s lives. Last year, we saw 10,400 people, dealing with 40,220 issues. 84% of those we helped said they felt less stress, depressed or anxious as a result of the help they received from us.

We also run projects such as the Volunteer Driver Service, arranging patient transport to hospital appointments and during the lockdowns distributed food parcels to those who were isolating. The volunteer drivers have completed over 7,300 journeys carrying nearly 1,200 people. Another initiative is Connect! which aims to help people become computer literate, a must in these times, and provide laptops and IT equipment to those who may not be able to afford it. So far they have helped over 160 people to get online.

We need your help so we can continue to offer and even expand our service! We have a team of volunteer advisers who give their time freely, but training, support staff and premises cost money.

We're a charity and we need to raise £35 per DAY to keep our advice free for all.

Please join the lottery today and help us deliver our crucial service.

Thank you for your support and good luck!
